Tokyo University BBL

Pictured is a circa 1920's Japanese made Official Tokyo University League Ball with multicolor stitching. It should be noted that in 1872, Horace Wilson, an American teacher at Ichiban Chugaka (now Tokyo University) introduced baseball to his students. Baseball flourished in Japan until it was discontinued there in 1943 due to WWII. The same game resumed in Japan in 1945.
