Circa 1860's Painted End Bat

Unlike many of the re-purposed tools we see passed off as bats from this era, this 37" bat features an actual knob and a black painted end of the barrel thus confirming its use for ball purposes. It is a fine and uniquely representative example of a bat from this early era with the characteristically desirable knob, tapered handle, and flattened and painted barrel end.
